Une conférence de presse Playstation internationale à la PGW - Et pas de conférence Sony à la GamesCom

La  news  vient de tomber via un Communiqué de presse officiel de PlayStation France. Il semblerait que Sony PlayStation veuille créer un nouvel évènement international à la PGW.

Nous sommes ravis d’annoncer que nous tiendrons une conférence de presse internationale à l’occasion de la Paris Games Week, le 27 octobre 2015.

Avec les changements de dates ayant lieu cette année, l’E3 se tenant une semaine plus tard et la GamesCom se tenant plus tôt, nous pensons qu’à la fois PlayStation et l’industrie en général, bénéficieraient d’un nouveau moment important de communication, plus tard dans l’année, au moment de la période d’activité la plus importante.

Nous sommes ravis de ce nouveau plan et sommes impatients de partager de nouvelles annonces avec vous le 27 octobre prochain.

Qu’est  ce que  cela  implique pour les  blogueurs qui  avaient déjà du mal à se faire une place à la PGW ? Que dire de l’absence de salle de conférence à la porte de versailles?  Qu’est  ce que  nous prépare Sony ?
De plus  nous avons eu la confirmation que Sony ne ferait pas de conférence de presse à la GamesCom.

    Maybe if they are going to put more focus on exclusives at E3, forget the 3rd party stuff, but keep the exclusive indies and 3rd party are doing their own thing at their conferences at E3 then they don’t need to have a Gamescom conference.

    I guess with TGS and PSX, maybe even some presence at the VGAs it’s not needed?

      VGAs don’t have a coverage as big as GamesCom. I think they are making a mistake not having a press briefing at Gamescom.

    C’est très bon pour nous la France et les PGW à venir, petit à petit notre E3 français prendra autant d’importance que la GC et l’E3 restent à savoir le contenu de leur conf’, des bonnes annonces ou des PowerPoint de leurs chiffres d’affaires..

      Malheureusement l’organisation de l' »E3 français » n’est pas à la hauteur… Ca risque d’être foireux comme ces deux dernières années.

    I think they’ll concentrate on Playstation Experience ,I believe they’ve announced it as an annual event.

      I think they did. And don’t forget there will be a show at TGS too. Sony will have plenty to show this year.

        They basically said that it was because the events are too close together, and they want to spread the announcements out a bit.. therefore Gamescom wasn’t going to work out.. since E3 was pushed back, and Gamescom was pushed forward.

    Lmao wow… Sony haven’t got anything worth to show, that’s why. Instead they’ll be making announcements at an unknown, secluded venue. Looks like My MS will be stealing the show then.

      Playstation Experience was an unknown, unheard of before event.. and it was pretty successful.. Expect their to be another one of those this year as well.

    Sony doesn’t have the funds to fly to Europe and make a presentation it seems. They’ll probably do a Direct Feed event for Gamescom like Nintendo has been doing.

      Seriously..? lol.. They moved their conference back to Paris Week.. which last time I checked was in Europe still…

        Microsoft will be at both Gamescom and the Paris Week convention. Trust me, Sony is definitely trying to save money. Gamescom is the 2nd biggest gaming conference. The Paris event will be a lot cheaper to host and it definitely won’t cost as much as Gamescom would.

I can’t exactly be categorized as a ‘Sony fanboy’ as if I only play on a PS console and that’s it. I have a 10 and 11 year old Steam account, probably have been gaming since you were in diapers too. 😛
